Establish a high-performing finance division, responsible for financial reporting, treasury management, taxation compliance and analysis.
The role will involve monitoring and enhancing internal controls through the identification, evaluation and assessment of the Corporations existing financial control environment.
- Maintaining the Corporation's financial transaction system(s) to ensure that the integrity of the internal control of the payment and collection systems is preserved.
- Preparing the Corporation's annual financial report, statistical and other performance reports as required.
- Managing the payroll and payment functions, including the issuing of customer accounts and managing outstanding debtor collection processes.
- Ensuring reconciliations to support monthly management reports are completed and actioned as required.
- Managing the Corporation's working capital requirements.
- Assisting with the preparation of the Corporation's budgets, forecasts and financial plans as required.
- Developing and reviewing financial management policies and procedures as required.
- Leading and motivating staff to achieve the performance expected of the Division.
- Identifying and assisting in the solution to any communication and workflow problems observed by suggesting improvements and enhancements to existing systems and processes.
- A Degree in Accounting or related discipline
- ICA or CPA or be progressing toward the achievement of these qualifications
- Senior management experience in finance
- Ability to manage, motivate and lead a team of finance staff to provide effective support and services to the business
- Experience in the management, development and operation of computerised accounting and financial transaction systems
- Well-developed interpersonal, communication, conceptual and analytical skills
