About the Opportunity We're on the lookout for an energetic, community-focused Community Coordinator to join our community team.
In this hands-on role, you'll deliver basketball clinics, school visits, community events and fan engagement programs across Tasmania.
You'll help deepen our connection with young fans, families and local clubs and ensure the JackJumpers continue to be a powerful force in every corner of the state.
Reporting to the Head of Community, this is a full-time role with a mix of weekday, weekend, and school holiday delivery.
Key Responsibilities Deliver Basketball Clinics Across Tasmania Deliver engaging coaching sessions across all skill levels from fun introductory clinics for young children to advanced technical training for experienced athletes Lead holiday programs, after-school sessions and weekend activities Deliver clinics with or without JackJumpers players, coaches and mascot Jack the Jumper Support Admin Program Coordination Email parents, manage clinic enrolments and maintain guest lists Coordinate merchandise and resources including basketballs, singlets and prizes Ensure equipment, first aid kits and supplies are ready before and after clinics Bring Game Day Fan Experiences to Life Assist with family-friendly fan activations outside the arena Contribute to ideas for fun community activities Support setup and pack down on game days Represent the JackJumpers Across the State Attend school visits, club events and community programs - everywhere from Smithton to St Helens to Snug
Engage with fans, families and local organisations Bring energy, positivity and professionalism at every appearance About You Experience in basketball, with the ability to coach or lead clinics Energetic, people-focused and enjoys engaging with children and community groups Strong organisation and communication skills Competent with Microsoft Office or willing to learn Available for flexible hours, including travel and school holiday programs Current driver's licence (own vehicle desirable) Ability to obtain/maintain a Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People check Experience coaching basketball or working in a community role is highly desirable JackJumpers Values At the JackJumpers, we MARCH.
