My client is a global leader in the food manufacturing industry, producing some of Australia's most trusted and loved products. Their Dandenong South facility is one of the most advanced in the country-fully automated, immaculately clean, and built for high performance. Due to continued growth, they are now hiring multiple Maintenance Fitters across both day and night shifts.
Your new role
You'll be part of a skilled maintenance team responsible for keeping high-speed production lines running at their best. Your day-to-day life will include:
* Performing preventative maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime
* Responding to breakdowns and troubleshooting mechanical faults
* Repairing and replacing components on conveyors, pumps, fillers, and packaging lines
* Supporting line changeovers and equipment setups
* Collaborating with production and engineering teams to improve reliability and performance
* Maintaining accurate records of work completed and parts used
* Participating in safety audits and continuous improvement initiatives
What you'll need to succeed
* Trade qualification - Cert 3 in Engineering (Mechanical Trade)
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment.
* Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
* A proactive, safety-conscious approach and the ability to work well in a team.
* Basic PLC experience is advantageous (Siemens / Rockwell)
