About the role
Boardwalk Tavern, Hope Island is looking for an additional cook to join a friendly, energetic kitchen team led by a dedicated Head Chef and others who treat one another like a big family. This is a unique opportunity for a professional cook to work in a fast‐paced environment and to contribute to a variety of cuisines.
Requirements
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen
* Ability to work 5 days across a 7‐day operation
* Qualifications or trade experience equivalent to the role
* Flexible, willing attitude with clear communication and customer‐service skills
* Immaculate grooming and pride in presentation
* Capacity to manage your own sections and deliver a consistently high standard of food throughout service
* Ability to take pride in food presentation, always ensuring top quality
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Food hygiene compliance, knowledge and practices
* Availability for a rotating roster from Monday to Sunday
* Job will require approximately 38 hours per week
