About the Role

To deliver effective support to the hospitality function within the care home, including catering, cleaning and laundry. Use your food services and cleaning skills to provide residents with an empathetic and personal approach.

This is a flexible part‐time role with a variety of shifts available to match your needs.

About you

• Previous catering or food service experience preferred but not essential
• Applicants with previous cleaning experience will be highly regarded
• You are a team player who enjoys interacting with people and giving back to our most vulnerable
• Versatile availability for a variety of shifts throughout the week
• Understanding of work health, safety and hygiene practices with the ability to work unsupervised

Duties

• Maintain legislated workplace health and safety, quality and hygiene standards
• Complete required documentation and reporting
• Respond to residents' queries and requests
• Handle laundry duties: load washers and dryers, sort linen, hang, fold, wrap or iron linen
• Assist with basic food preparation, provide meals and snacks, clear dining areas and do dishwashing
• Perform general cleaning duties: mopping, vacuuming, and waste collection in residents' rooms, bathrooms, communal and living areas

Skills and Experience

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Cleaning or catering experience preferred but not essential
• Versatile availability for a variety of shifts throughout the week
• Understanding of work health, safety and hygiene practices and the ability to work unsupervised
