We're currently seeking a motivated and reliable Customer Service Officer to support our internal sales, logistics, and administration functions from our Gladstone office.
About the Role
As a Customer Service Officer, you'll play a key part in supporting both customers and internal teams. You'll handle enquiries, prepare quotes and sales orders, coordinate incoming and outgoing freight, and assist with general office and warehouse tasks.
This is a varied role that will suit someone who enjoys working across different responsibilities and who takes pride in delivering quality service, keeping things organised, and working as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
* Respond to phone and email enquiries professionally and promptly
* Create and send quotes, job sheets and invoices
* Enter and process sales orders and assist with customer follow-up
* Following up customers accounts to ensure on time payment
* Enter and expedite spare parts and product orders to meet customer deadlines
* Enter bills and liaise with accounts payable to ensure on time payment
* Prepare outgoing freight, including documentation and labelling
* Coordinate logistics including freight in/out and local deliveries
* Operate forklift to load/unload freight (licence preferred)
* Maintain accurate databases (inventory, contacts, job records)
* Monitor and order workshop/office supplies as needed
* Keep office, staff amenities, and company vehicles clean and presentable
* Support internal teams with document formatting, meeting coordination, and other admin tasks
* Assist with process improvement and cost-saving initiatives
* Follow internal sales and service procedures to ensure consistent service delivery
