The Opportunity
A Local Government organisation is seeking an experienced Senior HR Advisor to provide strategic and operational HR support across the employee lifecycle.
Reporting to the HR Manager, this role plays a key part in supporting leaders and employees across all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, workforce planning, performance management, employee relations and organisational development.
You will act as a trusted advisor to executives, managers and staff, helping guide workforce decisions while ensuring compliance with industrial instruments, legislation and contemporary HR practices.

About the Role
You will deliver a broad range of HR advisory and operational services across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing day-to-day HR advice to managers and employees across the employee lifecycle
* Supporting workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding and retention initiatives
* Providing guidance on employment legislation, awards and industrial agreements
* Supporting employee relations matters including performance management, grievances and conflict resolution
* Preparing employment documentation including offers, variations and terminations
* Mentoring leaders on people management and workforce practices
* Developing and reviewing HR policies, procedures and best-practice frameworks
* Contributing to workforce analytics, reporting and HR systems improvements
* Supporting leadership development, succession planning and organisational capability initiatives
About You
You are a confident HR professional with strong advisory skills and the ability to work effectively across a diverse workforce.
You will bring:
* Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or related discipline
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a generalist HR or HR Advisor role
* Strong knowledge of employment legislation, industrial agreements and HR best practice
* Proven experience providing HR advice to managers and leadership teams
* Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder engagement skills
* Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving capability
* Current Driver's Licence
