About the Role
Our organization is seeking a seasoned metallurgical expert to contribute to the growth of our lithium production and play a key role in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
* To oversee the metallurgical processes and operations within the lithium plant ensuring efficiency, productivity, and safety.
* To conduct regular assessments and implement initiatives to optimize plant performance, recovery, and compliance with industry standards.
* To collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless execution of tasks, adherence to quality standards, and effective communication with stakeholders.
* To analyze and interpret metallurgical data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to enhance productivity.
* To provide technical guidance and support to the operations team to foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and excellence.
* To develop and maintain operation manuals, training programs, and commissioning plans to ensure smooth onboarding of new personnel and equipment.
* To manage stockpiles effectively, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of concentrate to port meeting specification requirements.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in metallurgical engineering, chemical engineering, or a related field.
* A minimum of 3 years of experience in a mineral processing plant, preferably in lithium operations, with a proven track record of leadership and management.
* Strong knowledge of metallurgical principles, processes, and technologies, with the ability to apply this expertise to drive business outcomes.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure, and lead teams effectively.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, foster collaboration, and drive results through influence.
