We're on the hunt for a technically solid and design-aware WordPress Developer to take ownership of our internal and marketing websites. You'll play a key role in maintaining, optimising, and expanding our core WordPress infrastructure, including the main OMG website and associated microsites, landing pages, and blog content systems.
This is an internal-facing role and you'll work closely with our marketing, design, and SEO teams to bring high-performance, brand-aligned web experiences to life. You'll need deep knowledge of WordPress architecture, custom theme/plugin development, and third-party integrations with tools like HubSpot, Google Analytics, and SEO platforms.

* Maintain and enhance OMG's WordPress-based websites (main corporate site + internal microsites)
* Build new templates, pages, and content types using custom themes and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)
* Develop and maintain plugins and integrations with third-party services (HubSpot, SendGrid, CRM tools, analytics, etc.)
* Ensure all pages meet modern SEO, accessibility, and performance standards
* Manage site updates, backups, staging environments, and deployment processes
* Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, SEO, design) to scope and deliver new functionality
* Monitor site health, speed, uptime, and security
* Implement and test responsive design across multiple browsers/devices
* Create documentation and maintain consistency across web components

Requirements:
* 3 to 5+ years of hands-on WordPress development experience.
* Strong Wordpress, WooCommerce, PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery skills.
* Design responsiveness expert.
* Caching methods such as litespeed, WP Rocket, Cloudflare.
* Gravity forms, Yoast, common WP plugins.
* Familiar with hosting environments and cpanels.
* Experience building custom themes and plugins (not just modifying existing ones).
* Take Figma designs or concepts and deliver a fully responsive theme based output.
* Proficiency with ACF, Gutenberg, WP CLI, and other key WP tools.
* Experience integrating with HubSpot, GA4, tag managers, CRMs, and APIs.
* Understanding of core SEO and performance optimisation best practices.
* Know the balance between plugins and custom code.
* Develop clean, modular saleable code and solutions.
* Know when to say no and communicate the reasoning.
* Know when to ask for advice from senior developers.
* Understanding of development workflows - staging and production environments.
* Understanding and experience with version control (e.g. github etc.)
* Ability to use project management / ticketing systems such as Teamwork / Jira / Clickup etc.
* Ability to manage hosting environments, DNS settings, SSL certs, and security best practices.
* Great communication skills and ability to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders.
