The role

At Bupa, purpose meets possible. Join us and help shape a future where healthcare is more connected, more personal and more human.

We're a global healthcare leader trusted by millions and committed to helping people to live longer, healthier, happier lives and making a better world. Healthcare is changing, and so are we. We're investing in more clinics, better systems and smarter, more connected ways to help our customers. As we continue to expand our services and invest in innovation, you'll help create a healthcare system that meets people where they are, responds to what they need and leaves them better than before.

Here, your work has purpose, your voice matters and your future is full of possibility.

Bupa recognises the growing need for functional, mental health, and wellbeing-focused allied health interventions. At Mindplace, we're committed to bridging the gap in services by developing a national network of clinics focused on mental health, rehabilitation, and independence in daily living. This network is a key part of our future vision, ensuring clients receive high-quality, accessible, and innovative support when it matters most.

About the Role

As an Occupational Therapist at Mindplace, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting clients to improve their mental health, daily functioning, and overall wellbeing. This is a patient-facing clinical role where you will work with individuals experiencing challenges with mental health, psychosocial disability, or functional limitations.

In this role, you'll:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients' functional abilities, daily routines, and psychosocial needs.
  • Develop and deliver evidence-based, personalised interventions to enhance independence, coping strategies, and life participation.
  • Support clients in building skills for self-care, work, education, and community engagement.
  • Apply mental health-informed strategies including stress management, sensory regulation, and activity-based interventions.
  • Collaborate closely with Psychologists, Behaviour Support Practitioners, Exercise Physiologists, and other allied health professionals to provide holistic, person-centred care.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and monitor progress to ensure clients achieve meaningful outcomes.

This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact on clients' everyday lives, contributing to recovery, resilience, and long-term wellbeing, within a growing, supportive multidisciplinary team.

Your Opportunity

We're currently looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Mindplace team in Wagga Wagga on a permanent part-time basis 3 days per week.

Further to our current locations, there is future growth as we work towards our goal of 60 Mindplace clinics nationally, ensuring access to support across Australia. If you're interested in being a part of the journey now or in the future, we'd love to hear from you.

So Why Join Us?

  • Professional development – grow with an exciting division of the business.
  • Career growth – as we expand, you'll have new opportunities internally.
  • Solid client base – access a consistent flow of clients via our referral networks.
  • Financial security – employee engagement and systems ensure reliable scheduling.
  • Multidisciplinary teamwork – collaborate with Psychologists, BSPs, EPs, and more.
  • Flexibility – we'll work with your schedule for real work/life balance.

About You

  • We're seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist with:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current AHPRA registration.
  • 3–5+ years of clinical experience in occupational therapy (mental health, rehabilitation, or community care highly regarded).
  • Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build meaningful client and colleague relationships.
  • Experience delivering evidence-based care and fostering innovation in service delivery.

EEO Statement

Here at Bupa your wellbeing, identity, and personal story are respected and valued. We are committed to building diverse teams that are reflective of the communities we serve and fostering a fair and inclusive workplace free from discrimination, bullying and harassment. We encourage applicants from all backgrounds and experiences, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, veterans, people with disabilities, and LGBTQIA+ applicants and are dedicated to removing barriers to participation.
