**The opportunity**:
We are on the lookout for an
**Assistant Planner** to join our dynamic Shoes & Sox team Reporting directly to
**Planning Manager**, the Assistant Planner is responsible for planning and forecasting all stock requirements ensuring the successful procurement and allocation of stock that results in balanced assortments and stock-levels in stores to achieve / exceed sales budgets, gross profit and manage stock levels.
**Key duties and responsibilities**:
- Analyse and interpret data, advanced use of Excel.
- Ensure an elevated level of attention to detail is provided in all tasks to ensure accuracy is attained and ensuring all tasks are completed.
- Assist the planner in all planning tasks, data extraction and interpretation on a weekly, monthly and seasonal basis.
- To provide assistance in preparing Trade Reports, daily Intake reports, Warehouse monitoring, New store plans, range plans, building core forecast sheets.
- Where necessary, assist the planning team in finalizing and implementing agreed store, grading and merchandise allocation plans (ensuring that knowledge of allocations and replenishment maintenance is kept up to date, so it can be executed on an ad hoc basis)
- To be able to assist the planner in assessing of stock requirements based on product/size/store performance and communicate stock levels to buyer in support of accurate forecasts and order placement on suppliers.
- To assist the planner in managing and assessing range effectiveness in stores (stock productivity) and in preparing feedback.
- To assist the planner with in-season & post-seasonal analysis with quality analysis on sales trends, profitability, product life cycle, pricing, sizing, product attributes, being able to use this information in compiling product and assortment plans inclusive of brand, cat, options, quantities and any other attribute required to ensure a balanced assortment is planned upfront.
- Ensure monthly store visits are conducted to gain insight into customer, results of plans and allocations and identifying opportunities.
- Builds and maintains relationships with all business partners like our Suppliers, Stores, IT, DC, Marketing, E-commerce.
- Manage own personal development and growth through being involved in the department and being aware of strengths and challenges to ensure that appropriate support is sought in striving to improve performance
