Circle Green Community Legal is seeking a dynamic, values-driven Philanthropy Manager to establish and lead our philanthropic and fundraising function from the ground up.
This is a rare opportunity to build, shape and lead and whole-of-organisation philanthropy portfolio that directly strengthens access to justice for people facing vulnerability across Western Australia.

About the Role
As our Philanthropy Manager, you will:
* Design and deliver Circle Green's first Philanthropy & Fundraising Strategy
* Build sustainable, diversified revenue streams through philanthropy, major gifts, corporate partnerships and bequests
* Establish governance frameworks, policies and systems that support ethical, transparent fundraising
* Lead high-value donor relationships and strategic partnerships
* Shape how we tell our impact story — connecting funders to real outcomes and real lives
* Manage and mentor the Grants Officer
* Work closely with the CEO, senior leaders and legal teams to align funding with strategic priorities
This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on delivery and is ideal for someone who enjoys both big-picture thinking and rolling up their sleeves.
What You'll Be Doing
Strategy & Foundations
* Create 1–3 and 3–5 year philanthropy and fundraising strategies
* Establish governance frameworks (ethical giving, stewardship, privacy, risk)
* Set up systems, reporting and donor pipelines from scratch
Philanthropy, Partnerships & Major Gifts
* Build strong relationships with philanthropic trusts, corporate partners, HNWIs and major donors
* Develop tailored donor stewardship and impact reporting
* Launch a bequest and legacy giving program
* Develop a corporate sponsorship prospectus
Grants & Proposals
* Lead high-quality grant submissions with strong impact and outcomes frameworks
* Establish internal governance and approval processes for grants
Impact Storytelling & Engagement
* Produce compelling impact stories, proposals and donor communications
* Present confidently to donors, partners and stakeholders
* Coordinate donor events and engagement activities
Data, Reporting & Compliance
* Track performance, ROI and fundraising outcomes
* Provide regular reports to the CEO, SLT and Board
* Ensure compliance with ACNC requirements and fundraising regulations
About You
You're a strategic, relationship-focused fundraising professional who is excited by the opportunity to build something new.
You bring:
* 4–6+ years' experience in philanthropy, fundraising or partnerships
* Demonstrated success securing grants, major gifts or corporate funding
* Experience establishing or growing a fundraising function
* Strong knowledge of the Australian philanthropic landscape
* Excellent written communication and proposal-writing skills
* Confidence engaging senior stakeholders and donors
* High ethical standards and a commitment to transparency
