Consultant / Senior Consultant – Technical Business Analyst – Technology Consulting
Job Overview
As a Technical Business Analyst in our Technology Consulting practice, you'll work at the intersection of business and technology, supporting large‐scale transformation programs for our clients. You'll partner closely with stakeholders, architects and delivery teams to translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements, with a strong focus on data, integration and system change.
This is a hybrid position based in Naarm – Melbourne. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.
Key Responsibilities
* Elicit, analyse and document business and technical requirements across technology‐enabled transformation programs.
* Work closely with delivery teams to translate requirements into user stories, data mappings and functional specifications.
* Apply a technical lens to problem‐solving, leveraging SQL and Python to support data analysis, validation and solution design.
* Support Agile delivery through backlog management, sprint ceremonies and ongoing stakeholder engagement.
Skills and Attributes
* Experience working as a Business Analyst with strong technical capability, ideally within technology or transformation programs.
* Working knowledge of SQL, with exposure to Python for data analysis or technical problem‐solving.
* Experience delivering in Agile environments, including user stories, acceptance criteria and sprint ceremonies.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical teams.
Additional Desired Skills
* Experience working in the Energy sector or on utilities‐related transformation programs.
* Exposure to system integrations, data platforms or application‐led transformations.
* Consulting experience within a professional services environment.
* A degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
