WA Country Health Service – Bunbury Hospital is seeking Senior Registrars/Advanced Trainees in General Medicine to join their dynamic and supportive team in one of Western Australia's most sought-after coastal locations.
This is a recruitment pool to fill Full Time, Fixed term appointments for 6 and/or 12 months with possibility of extension(s) commencing from December 2025.
Appointments from this pool may be made until 31/08/2026.
Overview
Bunbury Hospital is accredited by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) for 2 FTE of Senior registrar/Advanced Trainee in General Medicine. An opportunity exists for advanced trainees to spend 12 months in a regional setting while enjoying all the qualified and lifestyle benefits of Bunbury Hospital and the South West region of Western Australia.
Responsibilities
Provide care and support to patients experiencing a wide range of conditions, largely managed by a general physician cohort.
Work alongside the consultant physician group and interface with other specialties including emergency, intensive care, cardiology, renal, respiratory and geriatrics.
Inpatient and outpatient management, supervision and teaching of doctors in training (service medical registrars, RMOs and interns).
Participation in safety and quality, and quality improvement activities.
Rostered day shifts with weekend consultant roster; after-hours call roster may be negotiated with consultant backup.
Qualifications
Advanced Trainee in General Medicine (or eligible) with registration with or eligibility for the RACP.
Experience in general medicine and ability to work in a regional hospital setting preferred.
