The role
Power BI Developer
RPS is seeking a Power BI Developer to join a growing and vibrant team in Brisbane. The role involves supporting ICT projects for Government and Corporate clients. The position is available on an immediate start and may be contract or permanent based on the candidate's preference. The successful candidate will report to the Development Lead – Capability Systems and will be responsible for enabling the business to maximize the value of its data assets by designing and building advanced analytic capabilities.
About you
- Adept at developing, publishing and scheduling Power BI reports as per business requirements.
- Proficient in inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and analysing raw data to discover useful information and support decision‐making.
- Capable of designing and building scalable data models, and creating advanced analytic visualisations that provide meaningful business value.
- Collaborates effectively with key stakeholders to deliver insights based on identified business requirements.
- Works independently through unstructured tasks.
- Exhibits strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Experience and Qualifications Mandatory
- Knowledge of the Microsoft BI Stack – Excel, Power BI Desktop and Online Service, DAX, Power M, Query.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in data‐specific roles or a similar stream.
- Relevant tertiary or industry‐recognised qualification.
Highly Desirable
- Familiarity with secondary tools such as Microsoft Azure Cloud, SQL data warehouse, and DevOps.
- NV1 Security Clearance.
