We are currently seeking a creative and passionate Textiles Designer to join our team. You will be responsible for designing and developing textile prints across all product categories. Salary 90k + super per annum.
Responsibilities
* Ability to interpret a design brief provided by internal stakeholders while adding their personal creativity
* Undertake the appropriate product / textile research in order to produce the requirements of the design brief
* Responsible for the creation of original textile prints
* Set up artworks for factory hand over via sketches, samples, plans and models
* Liaise with design and production team on artwork, layout dimensions and colour selections
* Manage workload of multiple tasks on a daily basis from two different teams
* Internal brand and packaging development
* Create repeat and placement prints
* Print layering
Qualifications
* 5+ years experience in textile development
* Advanced skills working with Mac and the Adobe CS. Specifically, Illustrator, Photoshop and In-Design
* Confidence to work in a stand alone position whilst managing own workload and deadlines
* Quick and efficient worker
* Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
* Eye for detail and current trends
* Excellent communication and the ability to work both individually and as part of a team
* Experience within the apparel / fashion business
