About the Role:
You'll assist with daily food preparation, maintain high kitchen standards, and ensure smooth operations across your assigned section. This role is hands on, customer focused, and essential to the overall success of our culinary offering
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and present menu items to standard and within cost guidelines
* Maintain stock rotation and minimise wastage (FIFO)
* Complete daily mis en place and keep work areas clean and organised
* Follow all food safety, hygiene and WHS procedures
* Support other kitchen sections and assist the Chef on duty
* Deliver friendly, professional customer service when required
* Uphold grooming, presentation and company values at all times
* Complete opening/closing duties and accurate handovers
Skills & Experience:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a commercial kitchen
* Strong knife skills and sound food preparation knowledge
* Understanding of food safety, hygiene and chemical handling
* Customer service awareness and professional communication
* Ability to work flexible hours in a 24/7 operation
* Team focused, reliable, and eager to learn
