MSI Australia operates a network of 10 clinics, a national telemedicine service providing comprehensive termination of pregnancy, vasectomy services from 25 locations and national family planning support.
MSI Asia Pacific (MSIAP) is part of the MSI Reproductive Choices global partnership anddrives public engagement, fundraising, and advocacy for the Asia and Pacific region to support MSI's mission of 'children by choice, not chance.' The organisation works closely with government and private donors to expand access to essential healthcare and advocate for reproductive rights.
Position title:Senior People and Culture Advisor
Location:MSI Australia Richmond Support Office & MSI AP Fitzroy Office
Employment status:Part- or Full Time
Hours per week: 30.4 -38 (4 - 5 days)
The role:The Senior People and Culture Advisor is a key member of the People and Culture team, providing expert HR guidance and operational support, with a primary focus on our Asia Pacific (MSIAP) business of approximately 20 employees. This role will also contribute to broader HR support and offer cross-functional support across the business.
The advisor will partner with managers and employees to ensure compliance with local employment legislation, promote ethical practices, and foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.Key Responsibilities:
* Partner with managers to support teams and drive a positive workplace culture
* Lead employee engagement and culture initiatives across MSIAP
* Provide day-to-day HR support across the employee lifecycle (recruitment to offboarding)
* Maintain accurate HR records and oversee policy and handbook updates
* Ensure compliance with employment legislation and global ethical standards
* Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes
* Support performance management, capability development, and learning initiatives
* Advise on compensation, benefits, and salary benchmarking
* Provide guidance on employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary matters
* Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and cultural competency
* Support implementation of DEI strategies and the Reconciliation Action Plan
Experience & Qualifications (essential):
* 3–5 years' experience in an HR generalist or advisor role.
* Bachelor's degree in human resources or an equivalent degree with a HR focus
* Proven experience partnering with internal stakeholders across regions.
* Strong understanding of employment legislation and HR compliance
* Experience in compensation and benefits advice and benchmarking.
* Proficient in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Experience or strong knowledge in delivering a Reconciliation Action Plan
* Able to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
* Previous experience in compensation and benefits (desired)
* Previous experience developing and implementing a RAP (desired)

* Provision of two professional referees,
* Be prepared to undergo a National Police Check, prior to commencement,

* Evidence of current working rights in Australia.
