About The Role
We are currently seeking a compassionate and motivated YAT Nurse to join the multidisciplinary Youth Access Team (YAT). This role is key to supporting the primary health operations of our headspace clinics while also actively participating in the early identification and triage of young people experiencing—or at risk of developing—mental health concerns. You will work between Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with no evening, weekend, or shift work required.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide clinical and administrative support to GPs and private allied health providers at headspace clinics.
* Conduct youth mental health assessments, triage, and referrals as a core member of the Youth Access Team.
* Serve as a liaison between the GP team and YAT, ensuring coordinated, integrated care.
* Deliver youth-centred primary health services within your nursing scope of practice under GP supervision.
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to improve outcomes for young people.

About You
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
* Experience working with young people plus demonstrated knowledge of and sensitivity to the mental health needs of young people (12 – 25 years) and their families
* Experience working alongside General Practitioners in a primary care or community health setting
* Demonstrated experience working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team of health professionals. You bring initiative, and the ability to manage your workload effectively while maintaining a high standard of care.
