Role Overview:
* This is a supervisory position that oversees the maintenance and repair of buses at depots in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise staff performing trades-based maintenance work, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness while adhering to industry standards.
2. Manage up to 30 staff members from various trades, working closely with management to implement strategies and coordinate workshop activities that meet contractual requirements.
3. Conduct regular checks to guarantee vehicles are operational and fit for service, investigating issues and preparing performance reports as needed.
4. Maintain accurate records using administrative and computerized systems to optimize operations and control costs, overseeing warranty activities to ensure compliance.
Requirements:
* Hold a current NSW MVTC Motor Mechanic trade certificate or possess equivalent experience in bus maintenance.
* Possess a valid HC driver's license (or C license with willingness to upgrade).
* Demonstrate previous supervisory experience in bus maintenance or public transport, along with proficiency in computer literacy for maintenance record-keeping.
