Project Manager Role Overview
This role offers a unique opportunity to learn from experienced project managers and develop skills in managing multidisciplinary engineering projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting senior project managers in design, planning, and execution of projects
* Developing and applying project lifecycle skills and knowledge
* Creating comprehensive project documentation
* Understanding and managing stakeholder expectations
* Assisting with project issues and changes
* Participating in project review and logging lessons learned
* Identifying, assessing, and reporting on risks
* Supporting procurement activities and contractor management
* Determining project control mechanisms
* Maintaining regular project status reports
As you progress, you can expect to take on additional responsibility, including delivering your own projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications
We seek candidates with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or similar degree, completed within the last two years, along with:
* A thorough understanding of the project lifecycle, including work breakdown, scheduling, cost control, quality, and risk management
* Strong IT literacy, including Microsoft Excel and Word
* Effective communication and time management skills
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency, or a valid work visa
* A valid driver's license and ability to travel occasionally
