We are seeking a Controls Engineer with strong experience in metal processing. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in PLC programming, HMI development, and process improvement to optimize manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and implement PLC and HMI systems for manufacturing processes.
* Troubleshoot, modify, and optimize existing control systems to enhance efficiency and reliability.
* Work closely with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
* Perform system integration, testing, and commissioning of automation solutions.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements .
* Analyze production data and implement improvements to reduce downtime and increase efficiency.
* Provide technical support for plant operations and resolve control system issues.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in controls engineering within a metal processing environment.
* Strong proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.).
* Experience with HMI development and SCADA systems .
* Knowledge of industrial automation, robotics, and process optimization .
* Familiarity with electrical schematics, control circuits, and instrumentation .
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, industrial setting .
* Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
