NWRH is on the lookout for passionate Exercise Physiologist to join our team in Longreach. Full-time, part-time, and fixed-term options are available — perfect whether you're a new graduate or an experienced clinician.
Reporting to the Team Leader, and working as part of
a supportive, diverse and multidisciplinary team,
this role will see you
assessing, planning and implementing exercise programs for preventing and managing chronic diseases and injuries
and assisting in restoring optimal physical function, health and wellness of NWRH clients.

What You'll Do
* Screening and risk stratifying to ensure the safety and appropriateness of exercise and physical activity interventions;
* Assessing a person's 'movement' capacity in people of all ages and levels of health, wellbeing or fitness;
* Running already developed group classes in relation to falls prevention and cardiac and pulmonary health;
* Developing safe, effective individualised exercise interventions;
* Providing health education, advice and support to enhance health and wellbeing;
* Providing exercise intervention and advice for those at risk of developing a chronic condition or injury; and
* Managing communication with internal and external stakeholders.
There will be some travel with overnight stays required to provide outreach services to communities distant to Longreach. A vehicle, meals and accommodation whilst away will be subsidised by NWRH.
Helping those who may not otherwise receive healthcare and support, you will get to see the real difference your work makes in their lives, allowing clients to live and receive treatment locally.
What We're Looking For
* ESSA registration (or eligibility)
* Relevant Exercise Physiologist qualification
* Current 'C' Class Driver's Licence
* QLD Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or eligiblity)
* Passion for making a difference in rural healthcare
