About the role
You will provide a high level of emergency management expertise and support to Grampians Health Ballarat campuses to ensure that emergency management planning, training, response and reporting is in place and operating effectively. As well as providing advisory and auditing services for internal stakeholders the role is also required to provide appropriate and effective liaison with regulatory authorities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop, review and manage fire and emergency management policies, procedures and plans
2. Embed well-structured and localised emergency management roles that are well understood and functioning as intended at all times
3. Ensure establishment and maintenance of emergency management committees, providing expert advice and guidance to ensure that campus leads understand their role and function and strive to improve
4. Provide training and mentorship to key stakeholders to ensure all campuses are practiced in each aspect of the emergency plan
5. Coordinate and develop organisational emergency management capability and provide training to the members of the Hospital Incident Management Team
6. Provide specialist emergency management expertise to local and regional stakeholders as agreed by the Health and Safety Manager Ballarat.
Skills and experience
7. Experience in emergency management co-ordination and implementation
8. Experience in developing and delivering emergency management programs
