 
        
        This state department is looking for a motivated and experienced Supervisor with a mechanical or electrical background to support the delivery of air conditioning replacement works across schools in South East Queensland. 
This is a 100% office-based role where you'll liaise with contractors, schools, and senior supervisors to ensure projects run smoothly and on time. You'll be working in a high-performing team at our Cannon Hill office, with the possibility of some overtime. 
Responsibilities 
- Coordinate and manage communication between schools, contractors, and senior supervisors. 
- Respond to emails and manage project mailboxes. 
- Follow up on condition reports, repairs, and project updates. 
- Assist with preparing scopes of work, quotes, and tenders through government portals. 
- Ensure all documentation meets safety and compliance requirements. 
- Provide high levels of customer service to schools and stakeholders. 
- Use internal systems like Ellipse and Microsoft Office to maintain accurate records. 
- Perform value-for-money checks on mechanical and electrical works. 
- Support WHS standards and ensure safe work practices across all activities. 
- Deliver administrative tasks and maintain up-to-date registers and procedures. 
Successful candidate 
- A trade background in Mechanical or Electrical (highly desirable) 
- Experience in a supervisory or coordination role 
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, MS Teams) 
- A current Blue Card (or be in the process of obtaining one) 
- Excellent communication and organizational skills 
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and teamwork 
- A commitment to delivering excellent customer service 
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, KPI-driven environment 
- Experience with quoting, scopes, tenders, or government portals is a strong advantage
