About the role
Join the team at Pfennigs Automotive Repairs and Towing as a full-time Trades Assistat with mechanical background and HR license in our workshop in Katherine, NT. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of vehicles and tow truck driving. What you'll be doing
1. Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on a variety of vehicles
2. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults
3. Test and inspect vehicles to identify any issues
4. Driving our fleet of tow trucks
5. Maintain detailed records of all work carried out
6. Ensure the workshop is kept clean, tidy, and compliant with safety regulations
What we're looking for
1. Relevant trade qualifications in Automotive Mechanics or a similar field
2. Mechanical knowledge, preferably in a workshop environment
3. Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
4. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
5. Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
6. A positive, customer-focused attitude
