Job Description – EL1 Full Stack Engineer (Labour Hire)
Overview
The EL1 Full Stack Engineer (Labour Hire) will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, deploying, and supporting the client's in-house software products. The role requires a highly skilled engineer with expertise across both frontend and backend frameworks, a strong background in building scalable APIs and microservices, and experience working in agile, cloud-based environments.
Working under broad direction, the position will exercise a considerable degree of independence in problem-solving, decision-making, and providing senior-level technical advice. The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring delivery of solutions that align with the client's business priorities.
Initial Contract - 12 months with Extension

Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Design, build, deploy, and support the client's in-house software products.
* Prioritise and manage work items effectively within a structured work queue.
* Ensure all solutions follow integration, security, and engineering best practices.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure desired business outcomes are achieved.
* Work within an
Agile development framework
to deliver high-quality software solutions.
* Partner with stakeholders to define project requirements, set priorities, and manage expectations.
* Actively manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
* Represent and negotiate on behalf of the client to advance organisational and project interests.
(Note: Responsibilities may evolve over time based on client priorities.)
Essential Criteria
1. Expert ability to write complex code across both backend and frontend frameworks such as
ReactJS, AngularJS, TypeScript, and Golang
.
2. Strong experience in building
robust and scalable APIs and microservices
using Golang (RESTful APIs, Web APIs, GraphQL, and system integrations).
3. Proficiency in implementing both
SQL and NoSQL databases
(PostgreSQL, MySQL) with Go and TypeScript frameworks.
4. Hands-on experience with
DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and tools
such as GitLab, Artifactory, Docker, Kubernetes, and containerised workflows on AWS.
5. Experience with other programming languages such as
Python and Java
.
Desirable Criteria
1. Experience with testing frameworks including
Jest, Testify, Mocha, and Cypress
for backend and frontend testing.
2. Proven experience working as part of a
multi-disciplinary, agile product team
.
3. Strong ability to
manage and prioritise multiple projects
to meet deadlines.
4. Experience with
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
tooling such as
Terraform
.
