Nature of position: Temporary Full‑Time
Location: Ballarat VIC
Reporting Line: Contract Manager
Key Responsibilities
This role is responsible for the maintenance and upgrades of electrical and control systems associated with water and wastewater infrastructure, including instrumentation and telemetry.
For this role you will be responsible for the following:
* Installation of electrical infrastructure and systems to current Australian Standards and client specifications.
* Visit client sites and conduct preventive maintenance of water and wastewater electrical and telemetry infrastructure.
* Visit client sites and conduct reactive/breakdown maintenance of water and wastewater electrical and telemetry infrastructure.
* Comply with Risk Management, Quality assurance and HSEQ Management systems including statutory obligations.
* Scheduled on‑call/after‑hours response.
About You
* Trade‑qualified Electrician with relevant experience.
* Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Required Qualifications and Experience
* Relevant qualifications and licensed Electrician.
* Able to demonstrate experience or willingness to learn in industrial electrical instrumentation and controls.
* Experience in preventative maintenance and, where possible, new installations of electrical systems associated with water infrastructure is preferred although not essential.
* Technical competency or willingness to learn will ideally include instrumentation, SCADA/PLC/RTU fault finding and commissioning.
