Adelaide River Inn is situated within the township of Adelaide River, 112km south of Darwin on the Stuart Highway, Northern Territory.
303 Bar and Bistro is open daily from 9am to 10pm for lunch and dinner. The Bistro serves old country style favourites and modern style meals. Famous for its local wild caught barramundi, and another dish worth trying would be the buffalo.
About the Role
Prepare and cook high quality food according to the menu guidelines and recipes so as it is delivered to the customer in a timely manner. Key tasks include:
* prepares a wide variety of foods such as vegetables, spices, meats, salads, seafood, etc in accordance with prescribed recipes
* utilise the full range of cooking methods
* test foods being cooked for quality
* provide high quality food and service
* respond to orders in a timely manner
* manage ingredients and supplies for your station
* collaborate with colleagues regarding menu preparation
* supervise and training junior staff
* comply with hygiene, and health and safety regulations
Qualifications and Skills
* Certificate IV or higher qualification in Commercial Cookery
* at least 3 years recent experience as a Chef and/or Cook
* demonstrated knowledge and experience in food preparation and presentation methods, techniques, and quality standards
* ability to work as part of a small team and under limited supervision
* available for a seven (7) day roster - lunch and dinner
