The Junior Project Manager supports the successful delivery of commercial construction projects by assisting with planning, coordination, documentation, procurement and reporting. Working under the guidance of the Project Manager, this role helps ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule and in line with contractual, financial and quality requirements.
Work across Commercial projects such as Resi, Child Care, Student Accommodation, and Aged Care.
My client is open to strong CAs or Project Engineers wanting to make the move into a Junior Project Manager role.
Responsibilities
* Assist with project planning, scheduling and coordination.
* Support procurement activities and help manage subcontractor documentation.
* Maintain project records, reports, meeting minutes and registers.
* Assist with tracking project costs, variations and progress claims.
* Attend site meetings and support monitoring of progress, quality and safety.
* Coordinate communication between internal teams, subcontractors and consultants.
Desired Experience
* Substantial experience in construction, project engineering, project coordination or contract administration.
* Understanding of construction processes and project delivery.
* Exposure to commercial construction projects is preferred.
* Experience with documentation, procurement or project reporting is beneficial.
Qualifications
* Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field (or close to completion).
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Willingness to learn and develop within a project management role.
