Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon Job
This position offers a unique opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team in Perth Children's Hospital and provide specialist Paediatric Spinal Surgery services.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon to undertake clinical shifts, accept referrals, and take a leadership role for doctors in training.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 12 months post fellowship experience in spinal surgery including paediatric deformity correction and neuromuscular spinal deformity.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake clinical shifts in the Department at the direction of the Clinical Director/Head of Department.
* Accept appropriate referrals from doctors both internal and external to PCH.
* Take a leadership and mentoring role for doctors in training and others within the Department.
* Clinically review or assess patients within 24 hours of admission when on-call or admitted under their care.
Requirements
The ideal candidate must hold FRACS or equivalent on commencement of employment.
A strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care and excellent communication skills are essential for this role.
Experience or interest in general paediatric orthopaedics including general paediatric trauma is desirable but not essential.
