About the role
As the Functions & Marketing Manager at Heritage Rockhampton Pty Ltd & Flamingos Rockhampton, you will play a vital role in driving the company's events and marketing strategy. This full-time position is based in Rockhampton, Queensland, and will see you managing all aspects of the company's functions and events, as well as developing and implementing effective marketing campaigns to promote the business.
What you'll be doing
1. Overseeing the planning and execution of all functions and events, ensuring they are delivered to the highest standard
2. Developing and implementing innovative marketing strategies to raise the profile of the business and attract new clients
3. Managing the functions and events team, providing leadership and guidance to ensure the team is working efficiently and effectively
4. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and the local community
5. Analysing market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities for the business
6. Monitoring and reporting on the success of marketing campaigns and events to inform future strategies
7. Ensuring all functions and events are delivered within budget and in compliance with relevant regulations and policies
What we're looking for
1. Significant experience in a similar functions and marketing management role, ideally within the hospitality or tourism industry
2. Proven track record of planning and delivering successful events and marketing campaigns
3. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a range of stakeholders
5. Keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
6. Solid understanding of the hospitality and tourism industry, including the latest trends and best practices
7. Degree in marketing, event management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
