About the Opportunity
We're excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Kurrajong Marketing and Communications Team in a Part Time role working 2 – 3 days (flexible) per week. This role is on a parental leave cover 6-month contract.
The Marketing Assistant will support our Marketing and Communications Team, to help bring Kurrajong's stories to life across digital platforms and marketing materials.
This role is ideal for anyone studying marketing, communication, media or similar, and wanting hands-on, real-world experience across social media, marketing and content creation with a large, purpose-driven organisation. We can offer flexible hours to work around study.
The Marketing Assistant's responsibilities will include:
* Assisting with social media content (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
* Writing and scheduling captions
* Supporting photo and video content
* Helping maintain content calendars and posting schedules
* Assisting with basic reporting and engagement tracking
* General marketing administration and coordination support
* Supporting marketing projects, campaigns and events
* Helping the graphic designer with small design tasks, including:
* Simple flyers and posters
* Brochures and basic layouts
* Email graphics and marketing emails.
Qualifications, Certificates & Licences:
1. Relevant qualifications in Marketing, communications, media, graphic design or similar (or currently studying)
2. Class C Drivers Licence
3. NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with sensitivity
* Comfortable using Facebook and Instagram
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital systems such as Canva (or similar tools)
* Confident in writing short, engaging captions
* Graphic design skills are not required but an interest in basic design, layouts and visual content is a bonus
* Interested in community-focussed or not-for-profit work
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and work within compliance frameworks.
This role is designed to build skills, confidence and practical experience. Kurrajong will provide training and guidance along the way.

This position is remunerated between $ $36.75 per hour + Annual Leave Loading, Super & Salary Packaging.
