Job Description
At our Australian food manufacturer, we have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Sustainability Lead to join our team reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer.
This key role is responsible for leading the ongoing development and execution of our sustainability strategy, working closely with internal teams to drive business and sustainability outcomes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing stakeholder communication, increasing awareness and enthusiasm towards acting on sustainability across our workforce, and developing governance and reporting frameworks aligned to industry best practice.
Responsibilities:
* Support long-term development of plans to reduce operational footprint
* Refine and implement our sustainability strategy
* Manage internal and external stakeholder sustainability communication
* Develop and lead governance and reporting frameworks

Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a degree qualification in a relevant field and at least 5 years' experience in sustainability-related areas. They must demonstrate strong commercial acumen, excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills, and a solutions-focused approach.
A positive disposition and ability to think creatively are also essential for this role. The successful candidate will be proactive and driven, with a strong attention to detail.
