About the Role
The Transport Network Operations branch is recruiting multiple Level 3 & Level 4 Civil Field Worker positions.
The branch provides high-level maintenance, construction and asset management services for roads and related infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Carry out civil construction and maintenance tasks including concreting, kerb and channel, stormwater drainage, roads, bridges and roadside assets.
Operate and maintain Council machinery and equipment.
Ensure compliance with WH&S and environmental standards.
Complete daily documentation and report operational matters.
Work effectively as part of a high-performing team.
Provide on-the-job coaching to trainees and new staff.
Deliver quality customer service and identify improvements in work practices.
About You
Hold a General Safety Induction (Blue Card).
Have a current C Class Driver's Licence.
Be physically fit for labouring and heavy lifting tasks.
Demonstrate teamwork, problem-solving and communication skills.
Possess physical agility and the level of fitness, strength and dexterity to carry out labouring and frequent heavy lifting & bending.
Appointment to this position is subject to completion of a pre-employment medical assessment.
