MI Carpentry & Construction is an SA owned and operated business based in Adelaide, specialising in residential carpentry and general building. With a small team of 8. We cover everything from first and second fix to cladding, eaves, demolition, general maintenance, renovations, new builds and insurance repairs. With a focus on professionalism, reliability and clean workmanship, we work closely with homeowners, builders and insurance providers to deliver projects efficiently and to the highest standard.
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Team Leader Carpenter to lead one of our framing crews across residential construction projects. This role is heavily focused on first fix carpentry, with second fix experience preferred but not essential. You will be responsible for running framing jobs on site, leading a small team and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
What the role involves:
* Leading and working hands on with a framing team on residential builds
* Completing all aspects of first fix carpentry including wall frames, floor systems, roof trusses and tie downs
* Interpreting plans and specifications to ensure accurate set out and construction
* Coordinating deliveries, materials and daily site requirements
* Maintaining productivity, quality control and site presentation
* Mentoring apprentices and supporting skill development within the team
* Occasional second fix carpentry where required
* Ensuring all works comply with WHS requirements, SWMS, PPE and site inductions
We are looking for someone who:
* Is a qualified carpenter with strong first fix and framing experience
* Has proven experience leading a crew or stepping into a leadership role
* Can run jobs independently and problem solve on site
* Holds a current drivers licence and white card
* Is reliable, organised and takes pride in high quality workmanship
* Has the right to work in Australia as a citizen, permanent resident or valid visa holder
