Tim Davies Landscaping (TDL)is a premier landscape design, construct and maintain company in Western Australia that has been in the business for over 40 years. We have designed, constructed, and maintained many of Western Australia's most iconic gardens. TDL continues to grow and evolve and now employs over 130 people on projects across Perth and the Southwest regions.
THE ROLE
We are looking to add an Experienced Estimator to our growing Commercial Construction team based in Osborne Park. This role will be responsible for providing accurate and timely estimates for commercial construction landscaping tenders ranging from $100K-$10M.
You will utilise your strong communication, networking, and negotiation skills to link in with our existing sub-contractors to support competitive pricing as well as looking at ways to innovate the services we provide to our clients.
The key responsibilities include:
* Assess opportunities and qualify future projects for TDL.
* Identify preliminary requirements, take-off quantities, and accurately price all project components, ensuring estimates meet project margin requirements.
* Prepare detailed quotes and work closely with sub-contractors to finalise pricing, to ensure all components of the project are covered.
* Engage in negotiations with builders, clients, and other stakeholders, managing finalisation of contracts, and ensuring terms are met.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors to support the tendering process and foster ongoing business opportunities.
* Assist in the post-award phase to ensure that variation estimating processes align with estimates, and support procurement and resource management.
What we're looking for:
* At least 3-5 years of estimating experience, preferably within the Landscaping or Civil Construction Industry.
* An ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, contracts, quotes, and budgets.
* Excellent working knowledge of excel and other estimating software.
* Strong attention to detail with outstanding analytical, problem solving, and planning skills.
* Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, suppliers and sub-contractors.
