**Key Duties & Responsibilities**: Health Safety & Environment
- Drive and lead a strong safety culture within the NSW networks and wider Group
- Keep up to date with HSE compliance within relevant state and national legislation
- Maintain legal obligations, industry standards & Australian standards
- Implement, maintain & update project specific HSE plans
- Liaise with regulatory authorities on matters of Health Safety & Environmental compliance
- Ensure a standard risk management approach is implemented across the businesses in line with the safety management system
- Manage HSE inductions & onboarding process for new internal staff, including HSE training
- Provide advice on HSE matters and issues which arise, in line with company framework and safety management system
- Respond to incidents and emergencies, including investigations, reporting and escalation
- Attend project sites to ensure safety compliance and performance is being managed
**Key Selection Criteria**:
- Qualification in Work Health & Safety, essential (minimum Certificate IV in H&S)
- Previous experience in the Building & Construction industry
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal & external stakeholders
- Superior communication skills, both written & verbal
- Results driven & adaptable
- Excellent organisational skills & attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple / competing priorities & make quick decisions
- Problem solving & process implementation skills
- Ability to analyse & interpret data, laws & regulations
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Valid driver licence
- Construction White Card
- Working with Children Check (preferred or to undertake during employment)
