Lecturer – Senior Lecturer, Education Focused (Sutherland Clinical Campus)
This role is based in Australia at the Sutherland Clinical Campus, Sydney.
* Employment Type: Part‐time (7 hours a week)
* Duration: Continuing
* Remuneration: $127k – $178k base prorated (+17% super, clinical loading, leave loading)
* Work rights: Must hold full rights to work in Australia (visa sponsorship not available)
* Location: Sutherland Clinical Campus, Sydney
The Opportunity
The appointee will be expected to drive educational excellence within the university's teaching and learning communities. This role will provide educational leadership and clinical teaching on the Sutherland Hospital campus.
Key Skills And Experience Required
* A PhD in a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience.
* Medical qualification registerable in NSW and specialist training, with a clinical appointment at Sutherland Hospital.
* Actively stays up to date with discipline knowledge and professional development.
* Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design using a range of pedagogical approaches, and in the development and delivery of courses and programmes at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level, in a tertiary or hospital setting.
* Experience using and/or designing with educational technologies and online delivery methods.
* Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence (e.g., discipline‐based curriculum design and development at a variety of levels and scales).
* Demonstrated knowledge of industry or experience of work‐integrated learning.
At Level C (in Addition To Level B)
* Demonstrated ability to provide expertise and academic leadership within the discipline of medicine, surgery or emergency/critical care, or a relevant sub‐disciplinary area.
* Evidence of professional development of teaching practice in self and others with the ability to advance and lead an inclusive culture of excellence in learning and teaching.
* Demonstrated success in initiating curriculum development and improvement.
* Demonstrated ability to interact with the profession and industry and attract funding for learning and teaching initiatives.
