Assistant Buyer – Sheridan (Homewares & Textiles) About the Role Join Sheridan’s Merchandise team as an Assistant Buyer and contribute to the development of aspirational product ranges that reflect beautiful Australian living. This hand on, fast paced role supporting the buying function, promotes data accuracy, and helps deliver strong commercial outcomes across local and international markets. You’ll work closely with experienced team members and cross functional partners, gaining exposure to the full product lifecycle while building your capability in a supportive environment. What You’ll Be Doing Supporting the Merchandise Manager to deliver category and range plans Managing product data, including range plans, pricing, and lifecycle updates Creating and maintaining product codes, templates, and order forms Analysing sales performance to identify opportunities for growth and optimisation Building and maintaining competitor and market insights Assisting with cost approvals and helping ensure alignment with margin targets Preparing buy decks, reports, and regular sales analysis Managing business calendars and supporting key milestones Collaborating with teams across Design, Supply Chain, Marketing, and E‑commerce What You Bring Experience in a buying, merchandising, or relevant commercial role Strong analytical capability and confidence working with Excel or similar tools High attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities A commercial mindset and interest in retail and product Clear communication skills and a collaborative working style Experience with PLM systems or similar tools (desirable but not essential) Interest in homewares, textiles, or design is welcomed If you don’t meet every requirement above but are excited about the role, we still encourage you to apply.
