Key responsibilities include devising and implementing a holistic engagement program that provides access to senior media contacts to strengthen Airwallex's reputation, helping shape the external profile of global leadership and contributing to the update of the messaging playbook. Additionally, the successful candidate will represent the company as a key spokesperson, manage press office duties, and initiate campaigns to position the organization as a thought leader in tech and business.
The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in highly-regulated industries and B2B technology, with solid domain knowledge in public affairs and media relations, internal and external communications. Direct experience working with ANZ journalists, producers, and editors is also essential. Proven track record and ability to deliver tangible outcomes, exceptional written and verbal communication ability, and strong management skills are required.
This role requires extensive communication engagement and relationship-building with external stakeholders, including media, conference organisers, industry leaders, investors, and customers, as well as internal stakeholders across the company. The successful candidate will have significant C-suite exposure and require executive presence, strategic sensibility, and business acumen.
