We have temporary part-time and permanent part-time opportunities available across the Penrith Local Government Area.

Your day will involve

As an OSHC Engagement Educator, you’ll be responsible for planning and executing activities that foster the development of life skills while igniting a sense of excitement and curiosity. Here’s a glimpse into what your day might involve:

o Interacting and supervising with young people
o Facilitating Life Skills Development
o Snack and Mealtimes
o Planning activities
o Building relationships

What are we looking for

o Experience supervising and/or interacting with children
o Working with children check (WWCC)
o Current First Aid Certificate with Asthma and Anaphylaxis and CPR (HLTAID004 / HLTA012)
o Ability to follow safeguarding priorities
o Team player, contributing and upholding organisational values
o Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks to get things done efficiently

Bonus Skills (Desirable but Not Essential)

o Completed or working towards a qualification in a relevant field (Childcare, Sport & Recreation, Youth Work, Social Sciences, Teaching, Community Services, Health)
o Current LR Driver License (or willing to obtain)
o Child Protection Certificate - Identify and Respond to Children and Young People at Risk (or willing to obtain)

Commencing hourly rate: $30.00 - $34.72 + $10 split shift allowance + 11.5% superannuation.

As part of the recruitment process, we will be holding a Group Assessment centre on Wednesday, 28 May 2025 and Thursday, 29 May 2025. Successful applicants will be asked to attend either an afternoon session commencing at 2.30pm.
