We are seeking a skilled Lawyer to join our Workplace Relations & Safety group. Our team offers a full-service employment law practice, specialising in workforce management, employee engagement, industrial relations, and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare written advice on employment law related issues and industrial relations matters
* Provide strategic advice on employment and industrial relations disputes
* Represent clients at conferences before relevant courts or tribunals
* Research case law and provide legal analysis
* Draft court documents and settlement agreements
* Engage barristers and investigators
* Correspond with opposing solicitors and self-represented applicants
* Liaise with witnesses and draft statements and affidavits
About the Ideal Candidate
* Hold a tertiary qualification in Law and possess a current Practising Certificate relevant to the jurisdiction
* Bring 1-2 years post-admission experience in Employment Law, ideally within a law firm environment
* Demonstrate critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and ability to think laterally
* Excel at building and maintaining trusted relationships with stakeholders
* Have proficiency in drafting clear and well-structured legal documents
* Display strong organisational skills, including effective file management and billing
* Possess excellent verbal and written communication abilities
* Exhibit outstanding negotiation and influencing skills
* Adopt a proactive approach, challenging conventional thinking and offering practical solutions
* Demonstrate motivation for continuous learning and professional development
