Clinical Midwife - Midwifery Group Practice | Mount Isa Hospital, QLD About the Role
You will join the Mount Isa Midwifery Group Practice (MGP), providing high-quality, continuity-of-care midwifery services across antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care. This role requires a confident, autonomous midwife comfortable working across community settings, hospital environments, and remote outreach when required. You will play a key role in supporting women and families throughout pregnancy, birth, and early parenting.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years recent midwifery experience
- Demonstrated capability in autonomous midwifery practice
- Current ALS and neonatal resuscitation competency
- Solid communication and cultural safety awareness, especially when working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
- Ability to work within a continuity-of-care midwifery model
- Valid AHPRA Registration (Midwife)
