Responsibilities
- Maintain the emergency response and medical facilities, equipment and resources for the Mt Weld operation
- Expertise in reviewing documentation and writing reports
- Design, develop and maintain effective integrated management systems (IMS)
- Apply HSE legislation relevant to mining practices
- Provide clarity and advice on HSE statutory requirements and manage interactions with regulators and external bodies
- Engage stakeholders with a focus on near-mine communities
- Lead and manage HSE projects and issues
Qualifications
- Minimum Certificate IV in Health Care (Ambulance)
- Minimum Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue
- Minimum C Class Driver's Licence (MR desirable)
- Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing
Desirable
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Experience working in an operational role
Qualities We Value
- Experience in mining in a similar role including coordinating an emergency response team and writing/reviewing medical and emergency procedures
- Effective communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Proactive with risk recognition and mitigation
