ABOUT ECOLIV

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Directors, the Business Manager plays a key leadership role, ensuring Ecoliv achieves its strategic, financial and operational goals. Responsible for overseeing the company's commercial, financial, human resources and administrative functions, the role focuses on driving business performance, maintaining compliance, strengthening financial outcomes and supporting efficient business operations. Working closely with the Construction Manager and the Directors, this role helps align company strategy across departments while fostering sustainable growth, effective systems and operational excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership & Strategy

* Deliver and maintain company strategy and strategic plans.

* Lead and support managers to achieve business goals.

* Collaborate with Design and Construction Managers to align operations and performance.

* Foster Ecoliv’s culture, values, and sustainability focus.

Business & Financial Management

* Manage budgets, cashflow, forecasting, financial reporting, payroll, compliance, and profitability reporting.

* Provide financial analysis and strategic insights to support decision-making.

* Maintain financial controls, pricing strategies, procurement processes, and regulatory compliance.

* Identify business improvement and growth opportunities.

Governance & Systems

* Maintain policies, compliance, risk management, and reporting frameworks.

* Oversee business systems, software implementation, insurances, and registrations.

People & Culture

* Oversee HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.

* Support positive culture, training, and professional development.

Sales & Marketing

* Monitor sales targets, CRM performance, customer experience, and contract administration.

* Oversee marketing campaigns, advertising, social media, CRM/email marketing, and brand strategy.

Sustainability

* Lead sustainability initiatives, emissions reporting, certifications, and responsible sourcing programs.

* Support sustainability training, reporting, and community initiatives.

Stakeholder Management

* Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.

* Support seamless customer experience and monitor customer satisfaction reporting.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

* Strong leadership, financial management, and commercial acumen.

* Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills.

* Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA preferred.

* 10+ years’ senior management experience, ideally within construction or property.

* Experience driving strategic initiatives and financial performance improvements.
