The Impact You'll Make
You will join a highly collaborative, distributed team focused on a global data management platform designed to bring clarity, consistency, and control to enterprise business operations. Your work will involve building cloud‐native backend services and modern user interfaces used by teams globally.
Key Responsibilities
* Development & Delivery: Design, build, and maintain production‐grade services and features using modern engineering practices.
* Cloud Architecture: Deliver complex integrations across cloud‐native architectures, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure the viability of deliverables through code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
* Production Support: Provide in‐region support during Australian business hours and participate in a \"follow-the-sun\" global handover model.
* Problem Solving: Diagnose complex production issues, perform root‐cause analysis, and implement durable fixes to improve platform stability.
* Collaboration: Partner with global product owners and dependent teams to manage technical outcomes and unblock delivery.
What We're Looking For
* Experience: A minimum of 7 years of related work experience, with at least 3 years of hands‐on software development.
* AWS Expertise: Strong experience building and operating cloud‐native applications (e.g., DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, ECS, Glue, Step Functions).
* Technical Proficiency: Professional proficiency in Python and experience delivering production systems using modern CI/CD pipelines.
* Engineering Mindset: Solid understanding of Agile delivery, DevSecOps principles, SRE, and full product lifecycle ownership.
* Communication: Ability to navigate ambiguity, take ownership of outcomes, and communicate technical concepts to stakeholders.
* Preferred Skills: Knowledge of investment management systems, Java, or AI/ML is considered an advantage.
