Role Summary We are seeking an Azure Migration Engineers to support a large-scale cloud uplift and infrastructure modernization program. The primary focus is the migration of workloads into Azure, including lift-and-shift, rehost, and Replatform efforts across multiple environments. Experience with Azure VMware Solution (AVS) is highly desirable as a secondary skill, supporting legacy VMware migrations where applicable. Key Responsibilities Lead and execute the migration of virtual machines, applications, and workloads into Azure using Azure Migrate and other tooling Perform discovery, assessment, planning, and execution of migration waves Work closely with platform, security, and networking teams to align with Landing Zone architectures and governance models Create runbooks and documentation for repeatable migration processes Support migration testing, cutover, rollback plans, and post-migration validation Provide technical support and troubleshooting during and post-migration Assist with AVS migrations where traditional rehost isn’t viable Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups as needed Required Skills & Experience Proven experience migrating workloads to Azure at scale Strong hands-on expertise with Azure Migrate, ASR, and other migration tooling Familiarity with Azure networking (VNets, NSGs, routing, peering) Experience with IaaS/PaaS transitions, VM assessments, and dependency mapping Solid understanding of governance, RBAC, tagging, and Landing Zones Strong scripting skills (e.g. PowerShell, ARM/Bicep, or Terraform exposure) Nice to Have Exposure to Azure VMware Solution (AVS), HCX, vMotion, and AVS private cloud deployments Familiarity with Windows Server upgrades, Active Directory migration, SQL RePlatforming Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-900, or AVS Specialty) If you are interested, please do reach out to sgarrison@launchrecruitment.com.au
