Our client is a well-established national civil contractor seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their growing business. They provide services across various industry sectors including building construction, industrial, mining and resources, transport infrastructure, environmental etc.

The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of challenging projects, types of which include demolition, bulk earthworks, excavation, retention, piling, foundations, ground improvement, soft and hard landscaping, site remediation and rehabilitation etc.
">
Candidates will need strong communication skills as they will be part of the preconstruction team, involved in putting tenders together as well as tender interviews.

Key Responsibilities

* Working on tenders
">
* Coordinating internal and external resources
">
* Preparation and submission of tenders
">
* Evaluate / review tender and estimating process for cost effectiveness
">
* Tender negotiations
">
* Coordinate tender handover to project team
">
* Prepare budgets based on tender submission
">
* Assess and price contract variation orders
">
* Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants
">
">
Qualifications and Requirements
">
* Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar
">
* 5 – 10+ years' management experience on civil construction projects with a project value of $5m to $20m+
">
* Proven understanding of construction with a hands-on approach
">
* Effective problem solving abilities
">
* High level of commercial acumen
">
* High level of organisation and time management skills
">
