Electrical Project Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Project Specialist to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to take on a challenging role and contribute to the delivery of high-quality projects.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and project management, with excellent technical knowledge and communication skills. They will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance to the operations team, developing project documentation, and reviewing project documents for compliance with relevant standards and specifications.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Provide technical expertise and guidance to the operations team
* Develop project documentation including technical reports, scope of works, construction methodologies and project performance/progress
* Review project documents for compliance with relevant standards and specifications
* Implement quality assurance into project delivery
* Assist with tender documentation, process and procurement activities
* Ensure design is completed within expected timeframes, checked against capital budgets during development and documented accordingly
* Assist with the development of a project budget and ensure financial targets are met without compromise to the business environment, community and client satisfaction KPIs
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering ideally or related discipline (recognised by Engineers Australia)
* Solid knowledge of Australian electrical Standards, codes, and regulatory requirements
* Prior experience within a Project Engineer capacity, preferably within the water and/or wastewater industry. Wider Utilities or oil and gas experience is also highly desirable
* Strong communication and sub-contractor management skills
* Relevant engineering tertiary qualification or equivalent trade-based certification
* Demonstrated ability in financial management and reporting including budgeting
* Strong time management, organisation, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
* Demonstrated experience with relevant industry standards and specifications
